Herold Solingen 183WJ Russian Leather and Linen Strop
Herold Solingen’s 183 Wild Juchten Leather Strop is built by industry experts for professional level quality. Made in Germany, this strop features a special Russian leather, made from wild cowhide and bark-tanned. The cowhide offers an ideal honing surface, hard-wearing and elastic, restoring the sharp edge to your razor. Sewn on to the reverse side is a 100% linen canvas, a highly abrasive surface that you can use to warm your blade with before you sharpen. The holding end of your strop offers a thick and comfortable leather cushion handle, offering you extra control while you hone your razor. At the head of the strop, you’ll find a strong metal swivel hook: this can be used to securely attach your strop to a fixed surface, and the swivel, to spin to whichever face you need to use, without having to disassemble it from the wall. Pack this fine leather strop with your straight razor, and keep your grooming tools in their best shape.
Since 1919, Herold Solingen has been producing premium quality leather strops as razor honing tools. Made by Kohl & Laibach out of Solingen, Germany, these strops use a special Russian leather and a vegetable tanning process to create strops of unparalleled quality and craftsmanship.
