Tronchetto
This object is open to multiple interpretations depending on the eye that observes it.
When completed by a flower, the Tronchetto vase becomes a cross, “one of those ambient
signs that independently of religious questions are able to change the significance of a
space all on their own,” says Andrea Branzi. Such entrenched anthropological symbols
communicate to us in an ancestral language that they are mysterious entities, objects
with a spirit, just like this simple and enigmatic vase.
